Dr. Glaeser is excited to join the faculty at Eastern New Mexico University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice for the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year!
A parallel passion to singing for Dr. Cassie Glaeser is teaching, which she has enjoyed doing for the past fifteen years. In her private studio, she teaches voice and beginning piano both in-person and online. Prior to her appointment at ENMU, Dr. Glaeser joined the faculty at her alma mater, Lawrence University, as a Lecturer of Music in Voice.
Dr. Glaeser’s teaching methods are centered in the bel canto vocal technique and mind-body kinesthetic awareness through Alexander and Feldenkrais techniques. In her studio, she prioritizes a pedagogy that is trauma-informed, gender-affirming, body-positive, and driven by the goals of each individual student. Her scholarly research focuses on uplifting the art songs and operas of marginalized and underrepresented women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Latinx composers, and she integrates this experience and knowledge into her teaching.
Dr. Glaeser has extensive training in classical, operatic, musical theater, pop and contemporary vocal styles as well as focused studies in piano for beginners including music theory and ear training instruction. She is passionate about making her private and group music lessons a fun and safe space for her students to learn and she enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels of development.
Along with her private studio, Dr. Glaeser taught with Stafford Music Academy in Bloomington, IN, and Dynamic Music, LLC in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, IL. She was also a teaching assistant in voice and opera workshop at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Student Testimonials:
“I have been a voice student of Dr. Glaeser’s since my middle 70’s and am now 81 years old and am still working with her. The experience has been delightful. She is wonderfully patient and tries in a variety of ways to get through to me. She has mastered the art of a good teacher in that she encourages yet supplies the needed corrections. Also importantly she tolerates my approach to singing, which is not to take my singing too seriously but rather to simply enjoy getting better at it. I still work and have no intention of giving up my day job.”
“My daughter has taken virtual piano lessons with Cassie for several years now. She looks forward to her lesson each week! My daughter and I both appreciate Cassie’s positive and encouraging teaching style! Cassie is very professional, well organized, and timely with her lessons. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher!”
“I’ve been taking private voice lessons with Cassie for over a year now, and I’m so excited to see how my comfortability and confidence has grown! Casse is a wonderful teacher who infuses lots of humor and encouragement into her lessons, and she is able to explain music theory and the physiology of singing in such simple, relatable ways. She’s made me a braver, more well-rounded singer!”
“I enjoy having Miss Cassie as my piano teacher because she is super kind, supportive, and has been helping me to grow my piano skills for going on four years. I have also really enjoyed practicing some really fun songs, using all of the amazing feedback she has given me. I love having Miss Cassie as my teacher and I am so glad to keep learning with her help!”
Music Direction:
As both a voice professor and active performer, Dr. Glaeser approaches musical direction as an extension of her teaching—collaborating on repertoire selection and casting to showcase individual student strengths while guiding singers through the rehearsal and performance process to create cohesive, high-level, student-focused productions. Her most recent was:
Livestream of the Friday performance of ENMU’s Musical Theatre Scenes program “From Seuss to Sondheim: A Spotlight on Musical Theatre” featuring twenty-seven ENMU students from the Music and Theatre departments. Dr. Glaeser served as Musical Director, coaching students in vocal, dramatic, and ensemble performance. She also handled production details such as the digital program; t-shirt design; weekly scheduling; costume, hair, and make-up design; and operated the video projections during the performances.
